Korea Women’s HotLine started for nonviolent world and equality of sexes in 1983.
Korea Women’s HotLine works in various fields of activity such as protecting woman rights from all kinds of problems including domestic, sexual violence, the sex trade and trafficking in women, and migrant women problems.
Korea Women’s HotLine brought the various women violence into relief as social problems, so it made Korean society realizing the violence as crimes, and played the role of locomotive for establishing three laws considering woman rights such as the special law on sexual violence, protection law on domestic violence, and protection law on the sex trade.
As we organized the Asia Women Network, not only domestic matters, but also we are making efforts the women violence matters to the international issues.
Now, as a nationwide organization cooperated with 25 local branches, we are doing campaigns to make a nonviolent world about women.

Domestic Violence Counseling Center
The Domestic Violence Counseling Office provides counseling to the victims of domestic violence, and provides them with medical and legal support. To keep homes violence free, it trains future counselors on domestic violence and holds various kinds of campaigns and forums.

Seoul Sexual Assault Counseling Center
The Seoul Sexual Assault Counseling Center provides counseling, medical and legal support to the victims of rape and sexual harassment. In order to create equal and healthy values on sex and culture, the center trains sex education instructors and organizes sex education projects.

Temporary Protection Facility, "Shimteo"
The KWHL operates a "Shimteo", temporary protection facility, to provide the victims of domestic violence and sexual assault with a place to stay, and offers not only psychological treatment through individual, group counseling and various group activities but also legal and medical support.
